At PCN we incorporate an inclusive environment in our classroom. We are supportive and encourage each child to find within, their true self. We celebrate diversity in all forms, respect each others opinions and ways of living. This extends through families as we honor all holidays, life style choices, and show how kindness and love come in many forms. Respect for the child and their whole person is at the heart of what we do at PCN.
We love learning through play at PCN! This method of teaching puts the child's interests at the center and reaches out from there. By using the natural play element we see, and love, in childhood we can harness the excitement and ease of play while teaching concepts of reading, writing, math and most importantly social interactions.
We love to be outside and learn about all of the wonders nature gives us. Our daily hikes take us through the woods where we will hear birds, see animal tracks, feel the temperature change and talk about all the exciting things we experience outside. We are so lucky to have 4 amazing seasons to learn from and to play in!
We incorporate the Creative Curriculum into our play based model, which leads to not only academics but the very important social and emotional development of each child. We see each child as an individual and provide the support needed to complement the whole child.
